Warranty
This page says what our warranty covers, in plain words. The wording that binds us is the limited warranty section of the terms of sale. If anything here is unclear, that section is the one that counts.
What is covered
We warrant VERTA hardware against defects in manufacturing and materials for three years from the date you receive it.
If a product is defective, we will replace it or refund it. The choice is ours, and we will tell you which and why.
What is not covered
- normal wear from use, including rope wear on rings and lower-offs
- corrosion caused by an environment the product is not suitable for
- incorrect or incomplete installation, including hole preparation and adhesive
- installation that does not follow the instructions for use
- any modification, machining, grinding, heating, bending or re-marking
- misuse, shock loading, or loading beyond the product's published figures
- damage caused by contact with other metals in a mixed anchor system
- hardware that has been retired, or that should have been retired
Installed hardware cannot be returned. Once a bolt, ring or anchor component has been glued, loaded or placed in rock, we cannot verify that it is undamaged, and it cannot be resold for use where somebody's life depends on it. That is a limit on change of mind returns. It does not affect your rights if the product is faulty.
How to make a claim
Email contact@vertavertical.com with all three of the following:
- Your order number.
- The lot identifier marked on the product. It gives the month of manufacture and tells us exactly which batch you have.
- Photographs. The whole product, the area you are concerned about, and the marking. If the part is installed, photograph it in place before removing it.
Tell us what happened as well. How long it had been in service, where it was installed, what the environment is like, and what you saw. Even if a claim turns out not to be covered, that information may matter to other people using the same batch.
Do not send anything back before we reply. We will tell you whether we need the part returned, and where to send it.
Your rights under consumer law
Nothing on this page or in our terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the consumer law of your own country that cannot lawfully be excluded. That includes the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, and the legal guarantee of conformity in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Changed your mind
Unused and uninstalled products can be returned within 14 days. See the refund policy.
Safety comes first
If you think a product is unsafe rather than simply faulty, do not wait for a warranty decision. Take it out of service, and read the safety and warnings page.
